Something you built, explained well
Every single one said the same thing: bring one project and be able to explain why you made each decision. Being able to say why you chose something matters more than the choice itself.
Evidence you can be taught
Juniors are hired on trajectory. Showing feedback you received and what you did with it is stronger than showing perfect work.
Communication
Can you write a clear message? Can you say you are stuck before the deadline rather than after it? This is where most candidates lose the offer.
